The question facing students now

Students are trying to choose a future while the future keeps changing.

This keynote helps them find direction without needing all the answers, and the confidence to take their next step.

The challenge students are facing

Purpose is becoming a student-success issue.

Students are making some of the biggest decisions of their lives while work, technology, relationships, and even identity can feel more uncertain than ever. The pressure is not only choosing what comes next. It is believing they should already know.

Well-being is tied to persistence

Stress isn’t just affecting how students feel. It’s affecting whether they stay.

When students feel overwhelmed by the present and uncertain about the future, it becomes harder to see why they are here, where they are going, or what to do next. Among students who considered leaving, 49% cited emotional stress and 41% cited personal mental health. Justin helps them reconnect with what matters, find direction inside the uncertainty, and take one practical step forward.

Justin Michael Williams smiling

Justin Michael Williams is a best-selling author, GRAMMY-nominated recording artist, and award-winning keynote speaker whose work brings science, purpose, and personal growth into one honest conversation.

He grew up around violence, earned a full scholarship to UCLA, and built a successful career on a path that looked right from the outside. But when his grandmother—facing a terminal cancer diagnosis—asked what he would do if he had only two months left to live, the answer came immediately: record an album.

That choice didn’t give him every answer. It gave him direction. Today, Justin brings wisdom and transformational entertainment to hundreds of thousands of people around the world. With 15 years of speaking and teaching experience, two best-selling books, and a GRAMMY nomination, Justin’s global reach spans more than 40 countries.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re here to make the experience clear and easy to plan, support the priorities your team is responsible for, and help everything run smoothly from start to finish.

What exactly is the program?

Justin’s signature offering is a practical, high-energy keynote about purpose and direction for students in this uncertain world. It combines storytelling, science-backed tools, guided reflection, audience participation, and a short live-music close.

Who is the keynote best for?

Justin’s keynote is designed for college and university students and can also be adapted for high school juniors and seniors. It fits orientation, the first-year experience, student-success initiatives, campus-wide events, career and purpose programming, leadership events, student alliance and affinity-group events, well-being initiatives, and senior-year programming.

Will this connect with Gen Z students?

Instantly. The experience is candid, current, participatory, and never talks down to students. Justin’s humor, honesty, cultural fluency, and music open the door, while the practical framework leaves students with clear takeaways.

How long is the keynote?

The keynote can be customized anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes based on your availability, audience, and needs. A deeper campus experience can add a workshop, Q&A, class visit, book signing, or student-leader conversation based on your goals and schedule.

Can the experience be customized?

Yes. After your initial conversation, Justin adjusts the stories, emphasis, interaction, and closing actions to meet your students’ needs, support your goals, and fit the larger campus moment you’re aiming to create.

Is live music part of every keynote?

Live music is a short signature close to the keynote, not a separate concert. The exact performance and production plan are confirmed with your team so it fits your venue, audience, and campus context. It’s often named as a favorite part of the experience and leaves the audience with a shared sense of connection and community.

What do students receive afterward?

Every keynote includes complimentary access to Justin’s flagship meditation course so students have an on-demand resource for working with stress, centering themselves, and continuing to take meaningful steps after the event.

What happens after we inquire?

Justin’s team will review your event and follow up to schedule a call with Justin to explore fit, format, timing, and logistics. You don’t need every detail figured out before reaching out—we’ll work through those details together.
